Sanasyan's Criminal Case Now at the Prosecutor's Office with Indictment
The criminal case related to David Sanasyan has been submitted to the Prosecutor's Office with an indictment.
Today, during a conversation with journalists, Armenia's Chief Prosecutor Arthur Davtyan made this statement in response to a question regarding the former head of the State Revenue Committee, David Sanasyan, whose legal team has approached the prosecution to halt the criminal proceedings against him.
"The prosecutor overseeing the pre-investigation must carry out his supervisory and procedural management functions, after which a new decision will be made," the prosecutor stated.
When asked if he personally believes the criminal proceedings should be terminated, Arthur Davtyan replied: "If I express a certain opinion now, I hope you agree that I will constrain the overseeing prosecutor. The overseeing prosecutor will perform his procedural duties. When I carry out my functions as Chief Prosecutor, I will then express my position."
It should be noted that David Sanasyan's defense team has submitted a request to the prosecution to terminate the criminal proceedings against him.
