Today, former police chief Alik Sargsyan was officially charged with abuse of power and forgery. In an interview with Hraparak.am regarding the criminal case against him, Sargsyan stated: 'Almost humorously, nothing serious. I was summoned today and charges were brought against me without any prior discussions. They have accused me under absurd articles—negligence, concealment, articles that are completely unrelated to me. I am accused of carrying out the orders of the presidential assistants Gevorg Kostanyan and Gevorg Mheryan from those days. I have never had any connection with them; this is simply absurd. I have written that I do not accept the charges—let them conduct an investigation. Life will soon reveal everything, it’s not behind seven mountains.'
