Italian Renowned Company Interested in Joint Projects with Armenia
During his working visit to Italy, President Armen Sarkissian met with Claudio de Eccher, the owner of the renowned Italian construction company Rizzani de Eccher. Founded in 1831, the company operates in four main areas: construction, infrastructure development, equipment manufacturing, and professional engineering solutions. It is one of the leaders in the industry worldwide and has a presence in various countries, including those in the CIS, East Asia, the Middle East, the Mediterranean region, Africa, and North and Central America.
The meeting generated a productive discussion on collaboration opportunities, particularly regarding the implementation of investment programs in the fields of construction and infrastructure development. President Sarkissian emphasized the importance of Rizzani de Eccher's experience for Armenia, which is known for its high-quality standards and the introduction of innovative engineering solutions.
Claudio de Eccher, for his part, expressed interest in carrying out joint projects with Armenia. President Sarkissian proposed exploring collaboration opportunities concerning the restoration of Gyumri. There was also discussion about potential cooperation under one of the presidential new initiatives, the ATOM (Advanced Tomorrow) program aimed at developing science and technology in Armenia. This program envisions the creation of a science and technology city featuring international leading companies, research centers, and universities, where Rizzani de Eccher could also be a valuable partner.
At the meeting, it was agreed that a working group from the company would visit Armenia soon to continue discussions and assess what projects might be feasible to implement.
