Additional information will be provided.
It is worth noting that months ago, Hayk Harutyunyan was interrogated in connection with the March 1 case. This information was confirmed by Hayk Alumyanyan, one of Robert Kocharyan's defense lawyers.
Hayk Harutyunyan served as the Chief of Police of Armenia from 2003 to 2008 and was dismissed from the position in May 2008. Media reports circulated in 2008 that he had submitted his resignation to Kocharyan before March 1, but the latter did not sign it. According to these reports, Harutyunyan requested that the order for using force be provided in writing, but it was not done. However, the defense claims that Robert Kocharyan learned about the 'necessity' of using force from law enforcement only in the morning while at his workplace.
