Emergency Incident: Liquid Gas Transport Trailer Rolls Approximately 30 Meters into Ravine (Video)
On September 23, at 11:08 AM, the "911" service received a report of an accident on the Kapan-Kajaran highway at the 6th kilometer, indicating a gas leak and the need for rescue assistance.
A fire and rescue team from the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene, along with an operational group from the regional rescue department.
It was discovered that the trailer of a Scania truck transporting liquid gas (21 tons), driven by Nasrollah Kh. (born 1980, citizen of the Islamic Republic of Iran), had rolled approximately 30 meters into the ravine, resulting in a gas leak, with no casualties reported.
The rescuers disconnected power to the truck and established a watch at the scene.
At 01:06 PM, a Mercedes truck (driven by Ahmad R., born 1985, citizen of the Islamic Republic of Iran) collided with a parked KamAZ fire truck that was on duty at the site. The passenger of the Mercedes truck, Iraz G. (born 1985), was taken to Kapan Medical Center, where doctors assessed his condition as moderate severity.
The operational group from the fire and rescue team and one combat unit, alongside the operational group from the regional rescue department, responded to the scene. The watch continues with the participation of four rescuers and three members of the Kapan police department, as there is still an ongoing leak of liquid gas.
