Emergency Incident in Ararat: Vehicles Ablaze at 'Yuveci Karo' Gas Station
An emergency incident has occurred in the Ararat region. According to shamshyan.com, around 13:30, under still unknown circumstances, a fire broke out in a truck loaded with hay at the gas station located on the Yerevan-Yeraskh highway in the administrative area of Shahumyan village.
As reported by photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan from the scene, the fire spread and also damaged another vehicle. Before the arrival of firefighters, citizens and employees of the gas station were fighting the spread of the flames.
The police are identifying the drivers of the vehicles and are trying to determine if there are any injuries related to the fire.
Those gathered at the scene stated that the gas station belongs to former National Assembly member Karo Karapetyan, who was killed by another parliament member, known by the nickname 'Karameli Harut' – Harutyun Karagyozyan. The latter had also committed suicide with a handgun he possessed.
