VIDEO: Pashinyan on Vanetsyan's Resignation Text
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan commented on the resignation text of former National Security Service Director Arthur Vanetsyan during a press conference in Los Angeles.
The Prime Minister specifically noted, “He, de jure being the director of the NSS, is in fact making a statement against his supreme commander, and being an agency subordinate to the Prime Minister, he is making a statement against his leader, there is no greater insult to a soldier's honor than that. Later, I found out that this material was posted on the service's website. They took it down, but what else could they do? Should it have remained up? If a soldier does such a thing, it means throwing the epaulettes into the trash. The last time something like this happened was during the 1991 coup leaders.”
It is worth recalling that Arthur Vanetsyan submitted his resignation request to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on September 16.
