Dispute Between Spouses in Kotayk Province Ends in Stabbing

An extraordinary incident occurred yesterday in Kotayk Province. In one of the villages, a dispute between a married couple ended with the young woman being stabbed.

It is difficult to say what the consequences of the incident might have been if the neighbors had not intervened. According to Sputnik Armenia, during the domestic dispute, the man physically assaulted his wife and stabbed her in the hand with a knife. Neighbors stepped in and prevented a potentially tragic escalation.

Afterward, the incident was reported to law enforcement, who arrived in the village and took the man into custody. The police are investigating the circumstances of the incident.
