The President of the Republic of Armenia, Armen Sargsyan, received a congratulatory message from the President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron, on the occasion of Armenia's Independence Day. This information was shared by the Public Relations Department of the President's Office of Armenia.
The message reads:
“Dear Mr. President,
On the occasion of the Independence Day of the Republic of Armenia, I extend my warmest congratulations to you, as well as my wishes for happiness and well-being to the Armenian people. Armenia and France can be proud of their deep relations, based on historical ties, shared memories, and a common vision. These relationships are rich in opportunities that we must develop.
At a time when your country is embarking on an unprecedented path of change, I want to assure you of France's support for the implementation of the comprehensive reforms undertaken by your government, particularly our readiness to cooperate with the European Union and the Council of Europe in defending initiatives aimed at strengthening the rule of law.
I am ready to work with you to deepen the excellent political relations between our two countries and to strengthen our cooperation. I will continue to lend my support to our joint projects in the academic, educational, cultural, and scientific fields. This will contribute to the education of your country's youth and help Armenia strengthen its place within the Francophonie, following the success of the 17th Francophonie Summit in Yerevan.
Mr. President, I would like to once again express France’s commitment and determination, as a co-chair of the Minsk Group, to contribute to a fair and lasting resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, for the benefit of stability in the region and the well-being of its peoples.
Please accept, Mr. President, the assurance of my highest consideration.”
