Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received a congratulatory message from the President of the United States, Donald Trump, on the occasion of Independence Day.

The message states, “Dear Prime Minister, on behalf of the American people, I congratulate you and the people of Armenia on the 28th anniversary of Armenia's Independence. The United States welcomes the close cooperation between our countries and your government's commitment to democratic and economic reforms. We support the desire of the Armenian people to live in a democratic nation free of corruption that respects the rule of law, as expressed during last year’s peaceful actions across Armenia. We appreciate your personal involvement in finding a peaceful and lasting resolution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict within the framework of the Minsk Group process. I am hopeful that the existing partnership between our two countries will gain new momentum in the coming years. Please accept my congratulations and best wishes on this important occasion.”
