VIDEO: Member of Ethnic Gang Samvel Martirosyan Arrested in Ukraine

In the Poltava region of Ukraine, law enforcement authorities have arrested members of a criminal ethnic gang and their leader, Samvel Martirosyan, originally from Georgia and more widely known as Samvel Donetskiy, according to tsn.ua.

Martirosyan was sought by Interpol for a murder committed in Armenia. In the 1990s, he led one of the criminal groups in the Donetsk region, and his influence later expanded to the Zaporizhia and Poltava regions, as reported by the press service of the National Police of Ukraine.

Members of the criminal gang, including 60-year-old Samvel Martirosyan, his 58-year-old partner, and two accomplices are charged with extortion, kidnapping, arms trafficking, and other serious crimes.

The law enforcement agencies of Armenia have been informed about the arrest, and the investigation will be conducted within the territory of Ukraine.
