The Most Independent and Impartial Judicial System in Recent History is Operating: Arthur Ghazinyan
Leader of the 'One Armenia' party, Arthur Ghazinyan, wrote on his Facebook page:
“The aspiration for the independence and impartiality of courts has been a dream through all ages, yet no state has succeeded in achieving it. The assessment of the effectiveness of court operations is highly subjective and depends on one's attitude toward the judicial act. If it is in your favor, the court is good, just, and honest. However, if it is against you, it is deemed corrupt, unjust, ordered from above, and so forth.
What to do... Nothing, simply comply with the court's decision because if you've decided to appeal, you must accept any decision made by it. The legislation provides an opportunity for appeal and also defines situations where competent entities can initiate disciplinary proceedings against judges who have grossly violated the law.
So why do the people in power make noise? What hinders them from resolving issues arising during the administration of justice within the framework of current legislation? The answer is obvious: NOTHING, since their goal is not to improve the quality and effectiveness of justice but to have judges that are dependent, executing orders, and guided by their will— in other words, to establish the 'people's' power within the judicial system. Or perhaps it is personal revenge against those judges who have issued a guilty verdict against them.
In both cases, we are dealing with a profound contradiction to the law and an extrajudicial process, which is justified by a fabricated 'revolutionary' agenda.
I declare with full responsibility that today, for now, Armenia has the most independent and impartial judicial system in its recent history, as judges cannot carry out the orders of the previous authorities, and the new ones have declared they will not interfere in the work of the courts.
Therefore, dear authorities, look for your failures within yourselves and do not seek scapegoats.”
