Valery Osipyan Dismissed from Position of Chief of Police
The President of Armenia, Armen Sarkissian, today, on September 18, signed the decree to dismiss Valery Osipyan from the position of Chief of Police of Armenia.
“Based on the Prime Minister's proposal, in accordance with the first part of Article 133 of the Constitution and the second part of Article 13 of the law on service in the police, Valery Osipyan is dismissed from the position of Chief of Police of the Republic of Armenia,” the presidential decree states.
It was previously reported that Chief of Police Valery Osipyan had submitted his resignation. It is noteworthy that it has been revealed to the press that the leaders of all law enforcement agencies are set to resign.
