SaniTek Employees' Salaries Will Be Paid
Employees of the SaniTek company are staging a protest in front of the Yerevan City Hall, demanding their salaries for the month of August. The gathered protesters attempted to block Argishti Street, but the police did not allow them.
Moreover, the SaniTek employees tried to enter the City Hall, but the police formed a barrier and closed the entrance. They demanded that the municipality provide them with a document indicating that funds had been transferred to SaniTek, from which they could receive their salaries.
Yerevan Mayor's spokesperson Hakob Karapetyan approached the protest participants and stated that the municipality is currently looking for legal mechanisms to resolve the issue. He said, “We have also contacted the bank that made the transfer. The Yerevan City Hall is doing everything possible to ensure that the issue is resolved without SaniTek, so that your salaries can be paid directly to you.”
Karapetyan also emphasized that for the work done in August, 141 million AMD had been transferred, while 23 million AMD had been allocated for July.
