I Will Not Leave My Work Unfinished: Tonoyan
Defense Minister David Tonoyan does not consider it alarming that the head of the National Security Service and the Chief of Police of Armenia have been relieved of their duties.
"I cannot comment on that; these are individual decisions, and I am not aware of the reasons behind them," he remarked during a conversation with reporters in the National Assembly.
Regarding rumors about his possible resignation, David Tonoyan stated, "Let them circulate. I am fulfilling my duties; I will not leave my work unfinished, and I will not diminish my responsibility. I have no such intention."
As for the possibility of being dismissed himself, he said, "I cannot say."
When questioned whether these dismissals might affect the country's security, Tonoyan responded, "The system works cohesively; individual decisions have been made. The head of the National Security Service made his own decision, and the Prime Minister, as far as I understand, agreed with that decision."
