Video: Corruption of the Talvorik Community Leader. Police Investigation
Recently, operational data regarding the illegal actions of the head of the Talvorik community in the Armavir region has been received by the Police Department for Combating Corruption and Economic Crimes. Based on this information, it has been revealed during the preparation of materials that on March 11, the community leader, abusing his powers against the interests of public service, sold 13 hectares of arable land with a cadastral value of 15,405,000 drams for a significantly lower price of 2,535,000 drams to a resident of Yerevan, causing substantial harm to the community.
Moreover, by the decision of the community council, the owner was permitted to carry out clearing works on the said land, and in the event of the emergence of water pipes, to provide 200 meters of piping for the needs of the community. The owner provided the community leader with 50 units of 4-meter-long drain pipes, which were not registered in the community's balance and were instead taken to the leader's private residence.
According to currently available data from the investigation, the community leader has sold some of these pipes, while others have been discovered during inspections. A criminal case has been initiated at the Police Department for Combating Corruption and is being forwarded to the Investigative Committee for further examination.
