Security Council Meeting Held Under the Leadership of the Prime Minister
Today, a regular meeting of the Security Council was held under the leadership of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. This was reported by the government.
Opening the meeting, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan noted, “Today, we are holding a regular meeting of the Security Council. In connection with the security environment developed around the Republic of Armenia, we can state that the events and developments are generally occurring within the framework of our forecasts and assessments, which means that we are adequately assessing the situation and the development of the security environment. This, in turn, means that our preparations and efforts to improve the security situation in Armenia and the functioning of state structures are commensurate with the events taking place, which is very important.
We can state that during this time, we have formed a very specific agenda for the activities of the Security Council, and we are moving forward with that agenda. The issues for discussion today also fall within the framework of that agenda. We are recording specific results in addressing the problems outlined by the Security Council, and today we must summarize the results we have achieved and outline our upcoming tasks.”
The agenda of the Security Council meeting included several questions related to the security sector.
