Nothing is Excluded in Life, I Am an Established Person and Leader, I Will Decide What to Do—Vanetzyan
Arthur Vanetzyan advised the former authorities to remain in their political past and not to interfere in the relationship between him and the current authorities.
The former director of the National Security Service, Arthur Vanetzyan, intends to focus solely on the Football Federation of Armenia in the near future. He stated this today during a press conference with reporters.
“As for whether I will enter politics or not, I would like to say that I am currently planning to engage solely with the Football Federation. On the other hand, nothing is excluded in this life. I am an established person and leader, and I will decide what to do,” he said.
Vanetzyan also noted that there is noticeable enthusiasm from representatives of the former ruling party following his resignation yesterday. However, he wants to tell them to stay in their political past and not to try to interfere in the relationship between him and the current authorities. “I know how those relationships are and how they will continue. By the way, I have had very good relations with Nikol Pashinyan, we worked well together,” he stated.
When asked if he was aware of who would be appointed as the new director of the National Security Service, Vanetzyan replied that he was not, but he was willing to help the newly appointed official if necessary.
Vanetzyan concluded his statements by saying that he has never done anything he is ashamed of.
It should be noted that yesterday, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced that he had signed Vanetzyan's resignation request, which was followed by Vanetzyan's statement.
Incidentally, in his resignation text, Vanetzyan mentioned that the randomness of decisions, the hastiness of actions, and the inability to distinguish between the primary and the secondary, as well as the transient and the permanent, is not the way to achieve goals.
