Video: Sewage Water Floods Military Base Area

On September 16, at 10:36 AM, the "911" service received information that the military base area located on the road from Yerevan's Nerqin Charbakh to Masis, Ararat Province, is being flooded with water; assistance is needed. This was reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

Emergency responders from the Yerevan city rescue service's crisis management national center and an on-duty chemist-scout have been dispatched to the scene. An inspection at the site revealed that sewage water has flooded the area of Military Unit No. N of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia and adjacent territory (a total of 2 hectares).

According to the station chief of the military unit, the sewage water began flooding approximately six months ago when unknown individuals dismantled sewer pipes in the vicinity. Chemical gas analyzers were used to conduct a reconnaissance of the area; no extraordinary deviations were detected.

The information received has been forwarded to a specialist in the urban development and utilities section of the regional administration.
