Pashinyan Decides to Establish the Truth about Amulsar

The $400,000 paid to ELARD experts is not wasted. During a press conference today, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan addressed the scrutiny of the Amulsar mining project.

According to him, this amount has been allocated to the mentioned company to uncover the truth about Amulsar. "We say that in this matter we must pursue the truth. And the truth itself should lead us to this or that decision. I emphasize that the public should not fall for manipulations, including those from my highly respected and beloved friends. Because when any citizen takes a device and goes to a place and says, 'Now I will measure the radiation so it will turn out that there is such a level of radiation that a massacre will begin in Armenia,' I consider that manipulation," Pashinyan stated.

Regarding the opening of roads leading to Amulsar, Pashinyan reminded that there is a court decision on this matter, and additionally, opening or closing roads is the government’s responsibility. "There is a government in Armenia that, if necessary, will open the roads, and if necessary, will close them," he said.

As for the mining permit, Pashinyan recalled that it was issued years before their government came to power, and they need to determine if there are grounds for revoking that permit. "If there are, it will be revoked. If there aren't, it will not be. Otherwise, Armenia's international economic rating will decline," emphasized Pashinyan. "From the first day, I have not been guided by a presumption of closing or opening the Amulsar mine. I needed to establish the truth about the mine. The Armenian government will not make decisions under pressure; it will make decisions based on truth, law, and the national interest of Armenia," the Prime Minister stated.

When asked about the deadline for the government's final decision, Pashinyan did not wish to respond.
