Two Citizens of the Republic of Poland Attacked by Bear on Mount Aragats
Today, at 14:26, a citizen of the Republic of Poland, Margo Zh., called the '911' service to report that he and his friend (also a citizen of the Republic of Poland) had climbed Mount Aragats, where they were attacked by a bear. His friend is injured and they need rescue assistance.
Emergency responders have dispatched a combat unit from the regional rescue department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations to the scene, along with a rescue team from the center for special operations of the rescue forces administration.
At 15:55, a helicopter provided by the Ministry of Health, operated by 'Armenian Helicopters' LLC, departed from Zvartnots Airport to the scene with medical personnel from the Erebouni Medical Center.
At 16:35, rescuers located the citizens who had climbed Mount Aragats. Additional information will be provided.
