Hayk Ghalumyan Appointed as Acting Mayor of Ijevan

The Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of Armenia has announced that Minister Suren Papikyan has introduced the Acting Mayor of Ijevan community. In his welcoming speech to the staff of the Ijevan municipality, members of the community council, and heads of community-related organizations, Minister Papikyan said, ‘With the appointment of Hayk Ghalumyan as the Acting Mayor, a significant phase is beginning in Ijevan today, driven by the need to hold open and transparent elections in the community and to have a mayor who operates in accordance with the spirit and essence of a new Armenia.’

‘Mr. Ghalumyan has demonstrated good managerial qualities throughout his long career and has a good reputation as an Ijevan resident. Certainly, he bears great responsibility during this period, as we expect revolutionary steps from him in the coming months regarding the revitalization of the community’s economy and the upliftment of the spirits and moods of the community’s residents, which should open a new chapter of development for the region and the community of Ijevan,’ the Minister added.
