The newspaper "Publication" reports that one of the high-ranking former officials from the Armenian National Movement (ANM) shared an interesting story: "Just as Levon Ter-Petrosyan came to power, I was unexpectedly summoned by the president, along with two other high-ranking officials. After discussing various issues, Ter-Petrosyan suddenly said, 'One more thing: from now on, I don’t want to see Lusy (referring to his wife, Lyudmila Ter-Petrosyan) associated with any event, and in general, I don't want to see her on-screen during broadcasts of television news.'"

Our interlocutor also recounted a story related to the theme of ‘women’ from Karen Demirchyan: During his years as the Secretary of the Central Committee, when Karen Serobich was about to make an important appointment, he would tell the candidate, 'Tell your wife to set the table; I’ll come to visit you.' And when he did visit, he paid special attention to the dynamics of the couple’s relationship. If he noticed that the woman was the dominant figure in the household and that the husband submitted to her, he would never appoint such a person to a responsible position."
