State Revenue Committee Urges Withdrawal of Customs Cleared Vehicles within 48 Hours

The State Revenue Committee continues to maintain strict oversight over the area controlled by the Second Division of the Ararat Customs House, particularly for vehicles that have received customs clearance at the Noragavit Customs House. According to the information and public relations department of the RA SRC, some vehicles accumulated here still need to go through customs clearance, while others, despite already having received customs clearance, are not being promptly retrieved by their owners.

In accordance with Article 441, Part 1 of the Customs Code of the EAEU and Article 122, Part 4 of the RA Law on Customs Regulation, vehicles that have been cleared must be removed from the customs control zone within a reasonable timeframe (within 48 hours). The customs control area cannot be used as a warehouse or parking lot for vehicles that have completed customs clearance.

On a daily basis, the Noragavit Customs House processes between 550 to 600 vehicles, and when citizens leave their vehicles in the customs control area for extended periods for various reasons, new vehicles continue to arrive, creating such a situation. The only way to avoid this is for vehicles that have received customs clearance to be removed immediately so that others can also proceed through the customs clearance process without obstacles.

Analyses have shown that currently 80 to 100 vehicles cleared by customs at the Noragavit Customs House are subject to removal from the customs control zone. The State Revenue Committee once again urges owners of vehicles that have previously obtained customs clearance and those who will receive customs clearance to withdraw their vehicles from the customs control zone (Noragavit Customs House area) within 48 hours; otherwise, these vehicles will be removed by the SRC itself at its own expense.
