‘Joghouvourd’. The Meeting Room of ‘Nubarashen’ Prison Renovated by a Murdered Criminal Authority
‘Joghouvourd’ newspaper reports that a new uproar has arisen in ‘Nubarashen’ prison. According to information circulating within the facility, the meeting rooms, which were renovated years ago, were actually renovated by the local authority Harutyun Arakelyan, known as Hamik, who was killed last month in the vicinity of the ‘Don Quixote’ restaurant.
It has been recalled that Arakelyan renovated these rooms for the sake of his friend, the criminal authority Nerses Melkonyan, who is serving time in ‘Nubarashen’. However, it is now becoming apparent that the prison administration or the Correctional Service has allocated state budget funds for the renovation of these rooms and the installation of European windows.
‘Joghouvourd’ tried to verify the information circulating within the prison with the current head of ‘Nubarashen’ prison, Samvel Mkrtchyan, who stated, “The last renovations were carried out in 2010, 2015, and 2017; current renovations are being made. I do not know who did it before my time.”
