Jermuk Supporters of Amulsar Mine Remain Silent
The newspaper "Hraparak" reports: "Supporters of the Amulsar mine in Jermuk, who have lost high-paying jobs, are silent. The 'Jermuk Ashkharh', formerly the 'Lechkamisiya' health resort, is also silent. Three years ago, it signed a contract and provided the building to 'Lydian' for reconstruction, intending to house its employees there in the future. The rooms have been demolished, but work has not begun.
Are you taking them to court? 'A judicial process is ongoing, but we have no complaints or claims against 'Lydian'. We want to resolve the issue peacefully, as they are also not to blame for this situation; they are in a waiting position, just like all of us. They don’t know if they will work or not, so they can continue with the reconstruction of the health resort,' said the resort's responsible person.
Do you want the mine to reopen? 'It's not dependent on my desire. We are not the decision-makers.' More details can be found in today's newspaper issue.
