11-Year-Old Girl Injured in Accident Discharged from Hospital
Doctors have managed to save the life of 11-year-old Meri from Alaverdi, Lori Province, who was injured in an accident and was discharged from the hospital on September 12.
This was reported by Gevorg Derzeyan, the assistant to the Director of Public Relations at the “Surp Astvatsamayr” Medical Center, on his Facebook page: “Today, I’m taking my child home for the second time. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to hug her once again,” said the mother, Araxie, during a conversation with doctors.
Derzeyan noted that an unfortunate incident occurred on August 25 in Alaverdi, Lori Province, when a driverless parked car ran over the 11-year-old girl on a sloped street. “The child was taken to Alaverdi Medical Center where first aid was provided, and then she was transferred to Vanadzor Medical Center. Given the severity of her condition, Deputy Director of Surgery at 'Surp Astvatsamayr' Medical Center in Yerevan, David Dallakyan, and Head of the Resuscitation Department, Anna Chobanyan, went to Vanadzor Medical Center and performed surgery in collaboration with local doctors to conduct a splenic plasticity operation. After her condition stabilized, the child was transferred to Yerevan in extremely serious condition,” Derzeyan noted. He added that positive changes had already been observed in the child's condition days prior, and she had regained consciousness.
