43-Year-Old Woman Swallows Razor Blade at Shengavit Court

A suicide attempt occurred at the Shengavit branch of the first instance general jurisdiction court in Yerevan. According to photographer Gagik Shamshyan, materials are being prepared in the investigative division of the Shengavit police department regarding the suicide attempt that took place in the aforementioned court on August 30.

According to G. Shamshyan, a 43-year-old inmate, Inga H., who was convicted under part 3.1 of Article 177 of the Criminal Code of Armenia, swallowed razor blades in an attempt to take her own life during the court hearing. The incident has also been reported to the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia and the Abovyan penitentiary facility (women's colony).
