2.5-Year-Old Boy Injured from 6th Floor Fall Undergoes Surgery

Georg Derdzyan, spokesperson for the St. Astvatsamayr Medical Center, provided new updates to SHANTNEWS.am regarding the health condition of a 2.5-year-old boy who fell from the 6th floor.

The boy, who fell from the 6th floor of a building located at 32 Tumanyan Street in Yerevan, underwent surgery at the St. Astvatsamayr Medical Center.

The surgery went well. The young child suffered fractures in his shin bones. A closed reduction of the shin bone fragments was performed along with intramedullary osteosynthesis.

“The boy regained consciousness two days ago and recognized his parents. He had been transferred to the intensive care unit of the St. Astvatsamayr Medical Center on September 5, in an unconscious state. The child sustained multiple injuries, including to his head, spine, and other parts of his body. Doctors are assessing his condition as stable,” Derdzyan stated.
