Three Communities in Kotayk Province to Get New Kindergartens
Today, during a working visit, Kotayk Governor Romanos Petrosyan was in the communities of Geghashen, Aramus, and Mayakovski. According to the press service of the Kotayk governor's office, two of these communities (Geghashen and Aramus) will have new kindergartens as part of the government's 2019 subsidy programs aimed at the economic and social development of communities. Meanwhile, the kindergarten in Mayakovski is being renovated under a priority solution program.
The governor's first stop was in the Geghashen community, where a completely new kindergarten will be built as part of the subsidy program. Groundworks are set to begin tomorrow. The project is valued at 179,071,700 AMD, with the community's contribution being 10%, and the contract is in the signing phase. The kindergarten is designed to accommodate about 140 children.
It is worth noting that already within the subsidy program, two drinking water pipelines worth 3,890,000 AMD and 12,499,980 AMD have been constructed in Geghashen.
The governor's next stop was in Aramus. This community will have a kindergarten with a total area of about 1,750 square meters, designed for 6 groups. Approximately 150 children will attend the modern preschool institution in Aramus. With a total program value of 467 million AMD, the Armenian government has already approved a subsidy application worth 200 million AMD. The kindergarten will be built in the school vicinity, and a competition for the selection of the construction company will be announced tomorrow.
The governor's final stop was in the Mayakovski community. Here, the community's kindergarten is already being renovated through a priority solution program, with the building having been in a semi-dilapidated condition for many years. A whole annex is being reconstructed, while the dining area is expected to be operational by November, funded by the community. The contract is valued at 26,790,000 AMD, with the community's contribution being 3,550,000 AMD.
