Road Police Will No Longer Revoke License Plates to Prohibit Vehicle Operation

According to a proposal submitted to the National Assembly, the Road Police of Armenia will no longer revoke vehicle license plates to prohibit their operation. The nature of this regulation was presented today in the National Assembly by Deputy Chief of Police Hovhannes Kocharyan.

This concerns cases where vehicles have not passed technical inspection, do not have a validation sticker affixed, or have been illegally reconfigured.

Instead, the operation of the transport means will be prohibited through the seizure of the registration documents, and the driver will be given 10 days to rectify the violations.
