Trump and Macron Agree on the Necessity to Halt Iran's Actions

U.S. President Donald Trump has stated during a phone call with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron that there will be no lifting of anti-Iranian sanctions. This was reported by the White House press service on September 5.

“President Donald Trump and President Emmanuel Macron emphasized the need to successfully conclude negotiations on the digital tax during their phone conversation. The leaders agreed that it is necessary to halt Iran's actions that threaten free navigation and trade in the Persian Gulf,” the message reads.

President Trump assured that the removal of sanctions against Iran will not occur at this time, TASS reported.
