Opening of Gyumri's Car Customs Terminal Scheduled Soon
The head of the State Revenue Committee conducted a working meeting at the Northern Customs Office concerning construction work. The launch of the foreign economic activity service center in Shirak region, located in northwestern Armenia, will be especially significant. Meanwhile, in Gyumri, where the designated area for the facility is located, extensive construction is underway for the customs clearance operations related to vehicles.
Led by Davit Ananyan, the working group toured the premises, observed the ongoing construction process, and noted the progress made since their previous visit. Of the 21.5 hectares allocated for the service center, construction is actively taking place on a 5.5-hectare site designated for the car customs terminal. Just a month ago, the foundations for the new building were laid, and today the construction is in full swing. The builders are gradually bringing the project to reality.
The opening of Gyumri's car customs terminal is scheduled for October 11. Considering the anticipated volumes of vehicle imports, it is estimated that between 800 to 1000 cars will be cleared daily here starting in October.
