‘Haypost’ Employees Retain Citizens' Pension Funds or Offer to Purchase Goods
The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of Armenia, Zaruhi Batoyan, has addressed Haik Avagyan, the General Director of Haypost CJSC, requesting an investigation into several complaints received from citizens and appropriate resolutions to be implemented. This was reported by the ministry.
The complaints indicate that employees of Haypost are retaining funds from citizens’ pensions or are offering to sell various goods. Additionally, information has been presented indicating that personal data confidentiality is not maintained during pension distribution—for instance, Haypost employees invite pension recipients to a village gathering and disburse pensions in front of everyone present.
“Considering the provisions of the agreement on ‘Provision of Pension Payment Services’ signed between the Social Security Service and Haypost CJSC on December 29, 2010, and the necessity and importance of properly exercising citizens' right to social security, I kindly ask that you examine the issues presented in writing and take appropriate measures to ensure that citizens receive their full pensions in a timely and proper manner,” states the minister's letter.
