Civil Aviation Committee Investigates Reports of Standing Passengers on Flight
The Civil Aviation Committee has issued a statement in response to criticism regarding reports of passengers standing on flights.
“Dear citizens,
We inform you that the information circulated in the media regarding passengers standing on the Boeing 737 operated by Armenia Airline on the Yerevan – Moscow flight NGT 928 (September 1, 2019) is still under investigation by the Civil Aviation Committee.
We also inform you that the aircraft operating the mentioned flight has a seating capacity of 124, while there were 118 passengers and crew members onboard during the flight.
As previously reported, the Boeing 737 of Armenia Airline made an unscheduled landing at Tbilisi Airport due to an electrical failure during the Yerevan – Moscow NGT 928 flight, and the passengers were successfully transferred to Moscow on another aircraft the same day,” the committee stated.
