Video: A Citizen's Car and Front Door Set on Fire, Details

In the early hours of August 29, around 4 AM, a citizen called the Mashtots Police Department to report that their car parked in the yard had been set on fire. Officers from the operational group who arrived at the scene discovered three bottles containing a liquid resembling gasoline and other flammable materials. The citizens had extinguished the burning Opel with their own efforts.

Police initiated operational investigative and search measures. On September 2, the citizen reported to the police again. This time, an unknown individual had set fire to the front door of their house.

Continuing the efforts to clarify the incidents, detectives from the Mashtots Police Department received operational information suggesting that the act may have been committed by a 47-year-old resident of the village of Jrarat in the Armavir Province. He was soon located and taken into custody on suspicion of intentionally damaging someone else's property. The man has provided a confession. An investigation is ongoing.
