I Am Seriously Concerned About the Situation in Armenia's Oncology Sector: Narek Zeynalyan
“I am seriously concerned about the situation in Armenia's oncology sector.” This was stated by Narek Zeynalyan, Chairman of the Health and Social Affairs Committee of the National Assembly and a member of the My Step faction, on his Facebook page. He noted that soon the Health and Social Affairs Committee will organize a discussion regarding issues in the oncology field.
“It is curious that the director of the National Center for Oncology named after Fanarjyan was dismissed, and the reasons behind this are unclear because just months ago, the Ministry of Health highly praised the leadership of the center, stating that the NCO had achieved serious successes thanks to skilled management and professional abilities,” Zeynalyan added.
“It is concerning that specialists are leaving the NCO for the private sector. It is worrying that former Ministry oncology consultant Gevorg Tamamyan has decided to resign as a consultant and raised questions regarding the sector. These issues should be at least discussed and evaluated. The Health and Social Affairs Committee will soon organize a discussion regarding issues in the oncology sector,” he concluded.
