Mysterious Incident in Syunik Province: Two Bodies Found in Pasture
On September 3, a tragic and mysterious incident occurred in Syunik Province. Around 17:00, the Syunik Regional Police Department received a call reporting that there were dead bodies found in a garden opposite the village of Torunik, showing signs of gunfire.
According to Shamshyan.com, police and investigators discovered that earlier that day, around 15:30, a resident of Torunik village, 27-year-old Samson Gh., had found his father, 51-year-old Samvel Gh., lying dead in a pasture located 1.5 km away from the left side of the road leading from their village to Dastakert. The body had a wound on the top of the head along with a stone that had blood-like traces measuring about 20-30 cm on the backside of the neck.
One meter away from his father’s body, Samson Gh. found the body of his fellow villager, 27-year-old Nelson A., who had sustained a gunshot wound to the neck. The police and investigators who arrived at the scene found a 16 mm caliber smoothbore hunting rifle next to Nelson A.'s body.
A criminal case has been initiated in the Sisian investigative department of the Syunik regional investigative committee regarding this incident. The investigator has ordered several examinations, including forensic medical, forensic ballistics, forensic biological, forensic chemical, and forensic trace examinations.
