Court Accepts Rival LLC's Lawsuit Against Armoyl LLC
The first-instance court of general jurisdiction of Yerevan has accepted for review the lawsuit filed by Rival LLC and its founder Rafik Virabyan against Armoyl LLC on August 22. The Ministry of the Environment, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Committee of Urban Development, the Inspection Body of Nature Protection and Mining, the Inspection Body of Urban Development, Technical and Fire Safety, and the head of the Eghvard community are involved as third parties.
This information comes from the Datalex informational system. The plaintiff has also submitted a request for the court to impose a ban on certain actions of the defendant, which the court rejected.
Recall that in July, Rival LLC and Rafik Virabyan filed a lawsuit against Armoyl LLC and the aforementioned agencies, but the court returned the lawsuit on the grounds that it did not meet the formal requirements, content, and attached documents. Now, by the decision of Judge Tigran Grigoryan, the new lawsuit has been accepted for review.
Rafik Virabyan has tense relations with Armoyl LLC. According to him, the operation of the oil product processing plant would cause irreversible damage to the environment, his fruit gardens, and would render the production of dried fruits impossible.
Since the start of construction works for the oil product plant, Rafik Virabyan has written dozens of letters to various agencies, including the offices of the Prime Minister and President, the Prosecutor General's office, different ministries, and inspection bodies, but he has not received a satisfactory response from any of them.
