Armenia's Ombudsman Office Observes Local Government Elections Process

The Ombudsman of the Republic of Artsakh announces that within the scope of its authority, it will monitor the preparation and conduct of the local self-government elections scheduled for September 8, ensuring the guarantee and effective protection of electoral rights.

In addition to monitoring open sources of information, the Ombudsman’s office also provides a 24/7 hotline service at 116, which can be contacted by individuals facing issues related to the exercise of their electoral rights. Another way to reach out to the Ombudsman’s office is through the official Facebook page of the Artsakh Ombudsman.

During the monitoring and discussion of complaints, attention will be paid to issues related to the protection of the rights of both participants in the elections and journalists and observers. The Ombudsman’s office will respond promptly to complaints received via the hotline and other means, and will, if necessary, issue public statements and comments.
