The Day of the Republic of Artsakh: Message from Bako Sahakyan

On September 2, the President of the Republic of Artsakh, Bako Sahakyan, sent a congratulatory message on the occasion of the Day of the Republic of Artsakh. The message stated:

“Dear compatriots, on behalf of the authorities of Artsakh and personally, I sincerely congratulate you on the occasion of the Day of the Republic of Artsakh, our most significant state holiday. On September 2, 1991, our people made their long-held sacred dream a reality—to independently determine their own destiny, to live in a free and independent homeland, cherishing and preserving our national values and traditions, our faith, and our language. It was a difficult, yet honorable path that we traveled together with our brothers and sisters from the motherland of Armenia and the diaspora, overcoming all difficulties and trials, achieving great victories together.

And today, with joint efforts, we are continuing on the path we chose 28 years ago, defending and developing the Republic of Artsakh, consistently and continually strengthening our independent and democratic state, laying a solid foundation for a reliable future for generations to come.

Dear compatriots, once again I congratulate all of us on this memorable holiday and wish peace, good health, and great successes for the glory of our homeland’s prosperity and the well-being of our people.”
