The Armenian Times has sent an inquiry to the Armenian National Polytechnic University asking for the purpose behind these food purchases and when and where they will be utilized. We also inquired how many vehicles will be served by such a quantity of gasoline and whose vehicles they will be servicing.
In response, the university's public relations and information department stated: "The Armenian National Polytechnic University has operated an uninterrupted kindergarten since 1986. Currently, the number of children is 110, and there is a trend of increase. The food products mentioned in your inquiry are intended to provide a varied diet for the kindergarten children, in accordance with the necessary caloric intake specified by the Ministry of Health of Armenia. The winning organizations from the food procurement competition are required to supply the specified quantities of food products by the end of the year.

The medals and badges included in the procurement plan are intended for the "Polytechnic Awards 2019" organized by the Student Council. This award ceremony takes place annually in various categories. The medals and badges are made of silver and coated with gold.
According to preliminary standardized calculations, the quantities of premium and regular gasoline will approximately satisfy the needs of the university for 15 months, intended for five vehicles, including two Gazel models, while the others are light passenger vehicles. These vehicles serve as general-use transport and do not cater to specific individuals.
