Niva Crosses Opponent Traffic Lane and Collides with Parked Mercedes

Today, August 29, an emergency incident occurred in Yerevan. At approximately 10:06 AM, the driver of a ВАЗ 2121 vehicle with the license plate 70 NT 707 was driving on the newly constructed road in Saralanj, heading towards Avetisyan Street, when he veered out of the traffic lane, crossed into the opposing lane, and collided with a parked Mercedes B180 vehicle with the license plate 36 FP 805.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, citizens were the first to provide assistance to the driver, followed by firefighters from the emergency situations ministry who arrived promptly. Preliminary information suggests that the cause of the accident was the driver's sudden health deterioration, as onlookers reported that he appeared completely pale when he was assisted out of the vehicle.

The incident was reported to the operational management center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, which then notified the Yerevan Traffic Police operational management center, dispatching a response team to the scene. The police are investigating the identities of both the driver and the owner of the parked Mercedes.
