Azerbaijan and Turkey to Conduct Another Joint Military Exercise

In September, another Azerbaijani-Turkish military exercise will take place. According to the press service of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense, joint tactical exercises of the Azerbaijani and Turkish Air Forces will be held from September 2 to 16.

The exercises, dubbed “TurAz Qartalı-2019,” will involve 30 units of military equipment, including MiG-29, F-16, Su-25, and P-235 Kasa aircraft, as well as Mi-35, Mi-17, Sikorsky UH-70, CH-47 Chinook, and ATAK/AH-1W helicopters.

During the exercises, joint operations planning by the Azerbaijani Air Force, Turkish Air Force, naval forces, and ground troops will be carried out, along with search and rescue operations, air strikes against ground targets, and other tasks.
