Armenians Injured in Chelyabinsk Accident in Intensive Care

On the evening of August 28, a road traffic accident involving residents of Armenia occurred in the Chelyabinsk region of Russia. This was reported by Rusarminfo.

It is reported that on the 1605 km of the Moscow-Chelyabinsk highway, the 41-year-old driver of a Hyundai Sonata attempted to overtake in a section of the road where it is prohibited. The vehicle crossed into the oncoming traffic lane.

After crossing into the oncoming lane, the car collided with an Isuzu truck, the driver of which was a 39-year-old resident of Bashkiria. As a result of the accident, the Armenian driver and a passenger sustained injuries and were taken to the hospital.

Edward Jambazyan, a counselor at the Armenian Embassy in Russia, reported that two citizens of Armenia were injured in the accident. They were en route to Moscow.

"They are currently in the Ashinsk hospital in intensive care, and according to doctors, their lives are not in danger. The appropriateness of transferring one of them to a hospital in Chelyabinsk is currently being discussed," said Jambazyan.
