Accident in Shirak Village Results in Fatality
On August 29, at 00:59, the '911' service was informed of an accident near the cemetery in Shirak village, Shirak region, where there were injuries and the assistance of rescue services was required.
A firefighting and rescue unit from the regional emergency management department was dispatched to the scene. It was determined that a 'GAZ-3110' vehicle (driver: Holos M., born in 1992) had veered off the roadway and collided with a tree. The driver died at the scene.
Before the arrival of the rescuers, passenger Voskan A. (born in 1986) was hospitalized at Gyumri Medical Center, where doctors assessed his condition as moderately severe.
The rescuers have closed the gas valve of the vehicle's gas cylinder.
