Teenagers Assault Director of Fast Food Outlet with Beer Glass and Fists

On August 27, an extraordinary incident occurred in Yerevan. Around 5:10 PM, the Arabkir police department received a report of a brawl happening at the fast food outlet "Pizza E Vino" located at 18 Vagharsyan Street, during which a bottle was allegedly broken over the head of the director of the outlet.

According to Shamshyan.com, police determined that earlier that same day, around 4:30 PM, during the argument at the mentioned outlet, a 16-year-old resident of Yerevan, Myher S., struck 51-year-old Vahe Guzelyan, also a Yerevan resident, on the head with a beer glass. Following this, Myher S.'s friend, 17-year-old Gevorg Sh., also from Yerevan, delivered multiple punches to the director's body.

In his statement to the investigator, Vahe Guzelyan reported sustaining an injury to his head, while experiencing physical pain in various parts of his body. The Arabkir police managed to locate Myher S. and Gevorg Sh., presenting them to the Arabkir police department, where they provided explanations about the incident before being released. A forensic examination has been ordered.

Sources indicate that the altercation was sparked when Vahe Guzelyan, a Syrian Armenian, unknowingly used an improper word, for which he tried to justify himself. Following this, he was struck with the beer glass on the head and punched in various areas of his body. Guzelyan later claimed that this term is commonly used in Syria and is not considered an insult.
