Good News About Kindergartens for Working Parents
Starting from September 1, long-day services will be available in kindergartens in Yerevan. This was announced by Anna Javakhyan, a member of the Yerevan City Council from the ‘My Step’ faction, in the Facebook group ‘Kindergartens and Children’.
“I have come to share good news: from September, all kindergartens in Yerevan will provide extended day services, which will be paid at a monthly fee of 5000 drams. The only condition for opening a group is that at least 5 parents from the entire kindergarten must apply. You can now approach the directors of your kindergartens and register for the extended service if you want your child to attend. The long-day groups will operate from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM,” she wrote.
Javakhyan also informed that there will be no food provided in the long-day service: “If the kitchen also operated, the fee would be much higher; it was important that it remains affordable. You may send non-perishable items with the children for the evening (for example, cupcakes, pastries).”
