Defense Ministry Employee Refuses to Show Driver's License and Undergo Sobriety Test

Today, on August 28, during their duty near the Gorky Metro station, officers from the Yerevan Traffic Police noticed that the driver of a Kia Sorento car with license plate 10 ND 550 was driving in the wrong lane.

According to Shamshyan.com, the traffic police approached the vehicle to establish the driver's identity. For some time, the driver, who claimed to work for the Ministry of Defense of Armenia, refused to present documents to the police and undergo a sobriety test.

However, the traffic police managed to persuade him to provide the required documents and submit to a sobriety test, which revealed that he was driving under the influence. The traffic police took his car to a secured parking lot in Yerevan.

According to G. Shamshyan's information, the driver is 33-year-old K. Babalyan, a resident of Kashatagh in the Republic of Artsakh.
