I am against that approach, whether it is the daughter of Pashinyan or my own: BHK MP
If young individuals just out of their teenage years wish to engage in politics, they must respect the political hierarchy. This was the opinion expressed by Gevorg Petrosyan, a deputy from the "Prosperous Armenia" faction in the National Assembly, during a meeting with journalists regarding the statements made by Mariam Pashinyan, the daughter of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
"I cannot say that the heirs of political figures have no right to enter politics, as that would be an unreasonable judgment. However, if young individuals just out of their teenage years wish to engage in politics, they must, in all circumstances, respect the political hierarchy. I have merely opposed the approach of a young girl, who has made no contribution to nation-building, telling people of her father's and grandfather's age, individuals with political experience, to take a deep breath and stay calm in their places. I cannot accept that, even if my child were to say it; there is nothing personal involved," he noted.
